Can anyone tell me if the Canon VIXIA HF G10 will record in Standard def Wide Screen? If so, what file format is recorded on the card for a standard def file?

Based on the XA10, I suspect the G10 records in HD, but can down convert to create a SD file (in widescreen). Not sure of the file format
