I'm loving the image this camera puts out. Absolutely as advertised.

As with other cameras I've owned, I've noticed that (especially) red edges can sometimes be jagged (see the two images attached -- you can see it just a little in the shoulders). Any thoughts on avoiding that either in the filming or editing stages?

Filmed at 1080/30 1/60 (180º) shutter. 320 ISO. f/3.5 with a Canon 50mm f/1.2 lens.

Lit with LED 1x1 and reflector for fill; litepanels as backlight and background.

All part and parcel of a 4:2:0 colour space - strong, intense colours don't have much luminance detail, and so they're defined mostly by chrominance, which is (roughly speaking) a quarter of the resolution of the luminance information.

One can try reducing the chrominance a notch or two in-camera, transcoding the AVCHD to ProRes and performing a 'chrominance reconstruction' filter (which does a little fancy blur on the chroma signal) before boosting the chroma level back up (to avoid clipping the chroma - this is more for stage-lit productions, though).

Or consider shooting onto a Ninja using the 4:2:2 HDMI output. 4:2:2's chroma is at half the resolution of the tonal luminance image, which will improve the edges.
