Now how will I ever come up with a dark, twisted storyline for Halloween? Hmmmm...

So that means the actual topic will be what, "fluffy bunnies"?

"Where, behind the rabbit?"
"He'll do you up a treat mate."
Monty Python - Holy Grail

Well, the genre will be horror, but I'm not sure what the theme will be. I've considered having no theme, scariest movie wins, but that might be to vague.
Dunno. I'll think more about it in October.

Great, now what am I supposed to do...my wife insists that my next short be kinda light - you know... 'pleasant'...not like the dark ones or horror ones I have been doing.....I guess only the theme will tell.

Hey Jonathon

I think Dylans themes might be putting your marriage at risk :-)

I`m lucky at the moment, the wife keeps having weird, dark dreams all about strange men and death. Hopefully she`ll keep them going until Halloween.

Man. Dylan just posted the first few entries. You guys did great. I liked them all. I liked Iris especially. Well shot and cut. Great concept. I am waiting for the rest.

I hope I can stack up.They're here: http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=51338

My only comment is, on "Obsolete Technologies", I had a hard time getting it to play right on the older machine here at work. It's the HD codec so be aware not everyone will be able to see it. Some folks that are editing will not want to load QT 7.x on their editing machines at this point. I can't as it may disrupt my Avid setup. Still waiting to hear how well it plays with Avid.

It's a funny thing that a film called Obsolete technologies used the most recent codec... :)

I just watched them, and I agree with Sean, we have a great bunch of creators here!

Dylan, are you proud of you? Just because you have the idea to start this challenge, so far 52 films was created! These movies would never have been born without you!

I liked yours also. Question, what codec did you use for yours? Mine looks like crap and even though it is no winner, I need to learn a better codec to use to post. The quality on mine is so bad you can even see all the bugs on my truck! I tried the QT settings that were suggested and it's jsut not good enough.

I would really appreciate the help!

I just used Windows Media. I did one Quicktime copy but it's not that good quality. It's a 1024 kbit download file. If you check out file - properties you get info about it. It's a Windows Media 9-file. In Quicktime you can use window - show movie info to see what data it has.

Personally I just try different rendering-stuff and the one that looks the best I submit. :)

I thought it was Honhonhonhonhon... :)

That's actually a Simpson's reference:
Lisa in the wrong French class
all the kids laugh at her: Hahahahahahaha!
Teacher: "En Francais!"
Kids: Honhonhonhonhon!
