have it installed on my laptop and use it fairly regularly with my old sony v1p. very useful....

however, i want to give my cs5.5 disks ' license to my daughter but she doesn't need on location - anyone know if i can simply install it alone* with a serial number as and when i get a new laptop?

*by keeping the installer from the disks (if there is a separate one?) ok, just checked, there isn't a separate installer. bugger.
so, if i keep a backup copy of the disks (not a bad idea given my daughters casualness regarding such things), can i simply install it with a serial number or do i have to re-register it?

Adobe license is for two installs, as long as only one is used at any one time, if I recall correctly....
