Could there be another XF coming along? Are suppliers sweeping out inventory?

I've just noticed a PRO site that has the XF305 going for £3,850.00 (ex vat) £4,620.00 inc VAT, that's a clear drop of £2k from 18 months ago! That was at the time of the Nuclear fire and I had to wait sometime for my XF300.

Anybody care to comment?

Grazie

I put a similar thread up a couple of months back when I got my XF300 more than NZ$1000 under list here in New Zealand. The firmware was out of date, so must have been sat in a warehouse a good while. I guess there is always a chance you'll be usurped, but I prefer the XF300/305 over the C100 and had a project I need to get at least into rough cut by the end of the year.

My guess, not a new camera coming but likely between the competition, the age of the camera in the marketplace and the newer c100 they can't hit that price point. I think that's a good idea on their part. my guess is they'll find more buyers and the product line is due for a refresh likelythe year after next.

If history is any indication, we might look forward to a XF300s at the 3 year point.

Thanks Gents.

I can't believe I was surprised - which in itself is surprising!

Ah yes, an XF300s! I remember the XL and then the XL2. I couldn't wear/shoulder either of the two. And then the Canon XL H1S . . . .
