I've got a photo (4 MB, 5184x3456) I want to print on my HP Photosmart C4750. I want to print it out on 8, 8.5x11 sheets of paper, to assemble it as a 34x22 inch piece.

Blow it up, divide it into a grid, crop and then save the individual images to print separately?
Any suggestions as to program that I can do this with?

Thanks
Tom

I've done that sort of thing with Photoshop. Going back to version 7.

According to the experts, you might want to keep your print at a minimum of 220 ppi, the best being 300 ppi.

Assuming you've selected 220 ppi, with a 34x22 inch print, you'll need a resolution of 7480 x 4840. You might want to interpolate (up-sample) in Photoshop, while applying bicubic sharpening. Additional sharpening might be required based on taste.

Finally, select individual 'boxes' and print. Hope this helps.
