I am running ew 100s through my sony ax 2000 and get a muffled sound , not sure what it is , can anybody help ?

Built-in mic doesn't sound awesome... it sounds pretty bad... same with the Beachtek.

Anyways, for your Sennheiser direct-in through the XLR, I feel like you're running your transmitter level too hot. Which is why you're not getting much dynamic range.

How does the audio sound right out of the wireless receiver (before it hits the camera)?
Exactly how do you have the receiver connected to the camera? Cables? Adapters? Where did they come from?
Is this a chronic problem, or did it only develop recently?

There are almost literally 100 details to consider to properly resolve this issue. Don't be shy about revealing details. This is no time to be coy or generic.

I will try the setting that were mentioned in the video above and see what happens.

It could be that you have a faulty LAV mic?

moisture can effect these small electret mic's if you are using the ME2 that is supplied so try and hook up another mic and see if it is better.

After pulling out all of my hair I figured it out. Thanks to a a guy at Bechtek. It was the XLR adapter wire. I was using a off brand and when I hooked up a Sennhieser it was perfect. :)

It's always the simple things and a good plan to check your cables and kit often!

As I suggested originally, it could be a cable and/or adapter. THAT is why we seem overly-insistent on DETAILS!

"Off brand" seems unlikely to be the cause of the problem. It was likely just the wrong cable for the job. Again, THAT is why we ask for details about those things.

Certainly it is easy enough to make your own cables (or to check what you have for proper wiring.) As Mr. Dennis was asking, and Mr. House replied, the details are typically available online, but you need to accurately identify exactly the equipment at each end. There is no generic answer/solution here, and that is the source of Mr. Arman's problem.
