Examine the pdf linked at the page bottom - 12K @ 35fps!!
In a Point & Shoot and consumer camcorder body (likely coming 2013)!!!
Very exciting and I'm putting off all purchases until then - 4K seems so obsolete suddenly.

Not seeing any reference to 12K but I see 12MP 4K imaging being talked about.

Page 2: Chart at bottom shows modes it can record in:
4000H x 3000V @ 35fps (ie. 12K!!! =D )
8k, 2k, 1k, etc modes listed. (eg. 1.5K @ 240fps)

Ok I see what you're talking about. 4000X3000 isn't 12k it's 12mp. 4000 horizontal resolution is pretty much 4k video.

Yes this is 4K and 4K is a long way from being obsolete. Maybe in 7-10 years.
