I went to see the new James Bond movie and in one scene with a bunch of reporters, right there in front is a guy with a XL1. Hollywood likes that camera I think!

Hollywood likes that camera I think! Paul Sedillo November 24th, 2002, 09:22 AM I "allegedly" saw Jackass and it was used in several of the shots. Bryan Johannes Onel November 24th, 2002, 03:14 PM That proves that an xl1 output to 35mm doesn't look so bad after all ;-) Michael Wisniewski November 24th, 2002, 03:50 PM I wonder if it was NTSC or PAL :-) Bryan Johannes Onel November 24th, 2002, 03:52 PM It would be so neat to have an xl1 with some cool bond features. Like a rocket firing out of your lens :-P Nathan Gifford November 24th, 2002, 05:57 PM I was surprised it was an XL-1 and not an XL-1S. Do you think he was front and center because of a focusing issue??? ;-) Dylan Couper November 24th, 2002, 06:18 PM <<<-- Originally posted by bryanthedirector : It would be so neat to have an xl1 with some cool bond features. Like a rocket firing out of your lens :-P -->>> You mean your's doesn't do that?? ;) Adrian Douglas November 24th, 2002, 06:56 PM Mine's stopped doing the dishes now and my wife is starting to bitch. Guess I'd better buy something new. Wonder if a DVX100 can cook? Zac Stein November 24th, 2002, 06:57 PM Xl1s has got a rocket built in, it fires straight for your wallet. kermie Jeff Donald November 24th, 2002, 07:07 PM I passed on the missle launcher option and went for the silver custom case instead. You know, the Z4 Roadster by BMW. Yours did come with a case didn't it? Jeff Marc Betz November 24th, 2002, 11:26 PM The green seeking missile is standard, not an option. I would have opted for the m5 case with the 4 pzero no skid rubber feet :) Or perhaps the Aston Martins er ah er I mean anton bauers Adrian Douglas November 24th, 2002, 11:39 PM Sean Connery seemed to like the Anton Bauers much better too. Jeff Donald November 25th, 2002, 07:11 AM Yah, but since Aston Martin got bought by Ford I think he probably feels a little differently towards them. What is it he drove in this movie? I haven't seen much of the hype surrounding it. Jeff John Locke November 25th, 2002, 07:21 AM Ooooh, Jeff. I'm afraid we'll have to have you eliminated for those irreverant words. What did he drive?! Just the sexiest car ever developed! http://need4speed.topcities.com/aston_martin_vanquish_cover_vanqiush_picture.htm Imagine plopping your XL1 in that at the end of an all-day shoot, then heading home with the top down, Halle fiddling with the radio by your side...aaaaahhhh... (By the way, Halle drives a Ford in the movie...wait'll you see it) Jeff Donald November 25th, 2002, 07:57 AM Oh, so they both drove Fords. Jeff Dan Uneken November 29th, 2002, 04:52 PM They were actually using an XL1-S during the filming of James Bond here in Cadiz, Spain in April. Obviously for "The making of"! |
