Can you suggest a good mouse for editing? I am having trouble with my mine and need to replace it.

Thanks

I have been using the Evoluent VerticalMouse for the last year, it's pretty amazing I highly recommend it. I have all my buttons assigned to application specific functions (9 in total) for example when I want to slice, play, undo, etc, I simply press a button on my mouse. I can edit an entire project in Vegas without touching the keyboard.

Another plus factor is the design itself, it takes getting use to but after a day I had no problem using the mouse, it's very comfortable. Overall the design reduces stress on your wrist & help for painful long editing sessions. I experienced a lot of pain in my wrists from constant editing it was getting to a point that I had to seek medical advice, this mouse healed my wrist.

You might also look at something like the Contour ShuttlePRO --

Contour Design | ShuttlePRO v2 | retail.contourdesign.com (http://retail.contourdesign.com/?/products/23)

It does not replace the mouse, but is an additional programmable controller that has a very
user friendly interface for Vegas and other NLE's..

I use one of these on everything I touch, both photo and video editing. I think Logitech might be moving to only the wireless version of this. But I started with this because of wrist fatigue, and now I have none.

I have 2 mouses using at the same time.. Vertical Mouse for general use, and a logitech mouse with Hyperscroll wheel for editing. Switching between help your wrist not locked in one position for long time. Logitech mouse with hyperscroll wheel makes rolling through timeline a blast!
