We had an intriguing round of ten entries dealing with the theme "Interaction." Thank you so much to all of you who submitted a challenge video and interacted with your fellow filmmakers in the feedback. You are all winners!

The results turned out incredibly close, with many voters remarking how difficult the choice was given so many great entries. That's what we like to see around here! Remember, the winner receives a $250 gift card for B & H Photo/Video courtesy of Chris Hurd and DV Info Net! Thank you, Chris! And thank you for giving us a place here and also on Vimeo Pro to showcase the entries!! Then there is the matter of those DV Info Net lens pens Chris offered. All ten filmmakers get one! If you will kindly email your mailing addresses one will be on its way to you!

With ten entries only the runner up and winner will be announced. If you would like to know where your film landed simply email a request. Okay, here we go:

1st Runner Up:

Wave Riders by Finn-Erik Faale

Wonderful production value incorporating the theme so very well, Finn-Erik! Well done!!

WINNER of UWOL 24:

Trade Wind Clouds & Islands by Bill Thesken

What a unique take on the theme, Bill! Great time-lapse footage with interesting narrative, all the while showcasing the varied beauty on the island. Congratulations, UWOL 24 champion!!

That's it for now, folks! Hope you all followed Rule #11 and had lots of fun with UWOL 24. See you in December for the DVC/UWOL Charity Challenge!!

Wow !, I almost fell on the floor when I saw this. Pretty much unexpected given the other great entries which I really enjoyed watching. Thanks to Chris and Lorinda for putting on the contest. And especially thank you to all the contestants for your remarks and suggestions, I'll take them and run with them, we're all trying to get better and tell compelling stories with video, and we need each other to progress. This is like film school in a way, but maybe better. We get to see the world. Hope to see you all next round for more adventures!

Toni,

I hate to remind you, just when its starting to get cold, but for some of us it Happy Spring, and the beginning of the still warmer weather! - 36ºC here today, and still waiting for the rainy season to get underway!

It will be my first Christmas in the southern hemisphere for a goodly number of years, so looking forward to finding new things to film!
