I have tried using XDCAM transfer which is great for MXF and it works but seems to have bugs.

Next I will try the Canon XF transfer again since it failed twice to load.

Any other ways where you have the ability to precut or pick codec?

OK, after Simon told me to just use XF plug in for Final Cut I found the software on the Canon site.

The way I get the Canon C300 into FCP7 is via log and transfer, just make sure you have the Canon XF plugin.

What OS do you have? I see it works with my 10.5.8 OS.

No need to answer Simon I found it. Time to stop for the day it was right under my nose on the Canon site. Will upload it tomorrow and continue with my testing of the C300.
