Hello world, i have just picked up a VG-20, New to AVCHD Codec, Is the Qlty better if i transcode the AVCHD to ProRes

1. is it better to work with in PP

2. I the Qty better ?

3. and why is there only one file on the card, (Private) ??

.. not possible then data is the same digital content, only bigger

Use the Sony software to transfer to the PC. It will bring in full clips and rename to the date and time they were taken and place in a directory named the date of transfer to the PC. I use Edius to edit and use native files. I also have Vegas 11 and PP CS6 they will all edit native but need a powerfull PC. PP needs the most power Edius the least powerful to edit realtime. I would not convert unless you have to because your PC is not powerful enough.
