Anyone using the Hoodman hood and 3x magnifier for the EX-1/EX-3 LCD ? Good idea or unnecessary ?

Yes this hood:

Fits my EX1 perfectly. Makes a difference in very bright outdoor light. Cheap enough.

I don't feel I need a magnifier though.
