Has anyone used the Tamron AF18-270mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC lens with the C300? I'm thinking of getting a C300 and using this lens when I need run and gun with long telephoto capabilities or the extra reach over my 70-200mm. I realize it's not fast, but I'm hoping with the high ISO capabilities of the C300 I can get away using it at F/6.3.

Hi Brett,
If you do buy, or hire, a C300 you will find that it will get the best out of almost any EF lens but the difference between a budget lens like the Tamron AF18-270mm and a Canon L lens is really profound.
My advice would be to save the money and buy a older generation L lens which whilst not as fast as the newer versions will produce really delightful, detailed, rich images with the C300.
Just to help with your decision here is a link to a review of the Tamron lens!
