The Awakened is a feature I directed, DPed and edited. I filmed it 100% with the F3 not S Log. I used the RED 18-85mm T2.9 for most of it and recorded to the KiPro Mini PR/HQ.
The Awakened will be hitting 25 festivals starting September both here in the US as well as EU.

Looks very good man!
Did you use a lot of additional lighting?

Thanks Ron.

There was not too manny places to hide lights. I used the light fixtures with replaced bulbs and some rim lights. I like things to look natural that is why I bought the F3 to shoot this film.
I used an iPhone to light a scene with the realtor coming in the room were the lights were out. We shot mostly during the day so it was harder to keep light from coming in.
I used a single candle light were the girl finds the guy crucified hanging on the wall.
Most of the additional light was to add dimension. It is hard to see with Vimeo's compression to see the details in the dark areas but it all looked great on the big screen in the theater.

Well I just got a message that "The Awakened" was accepted to another film festival. This time is the Madison Horror Film Festival in Madison WI.

Great news once again to hear.

Quick question; I recall you having two graded versions of the film. Which is the one that the producer ended up going with and is either one of those the "official" trailer version that us currently on youtube?

I watched the official trailer on youtube and it doesn't look graded at all.

Unfortunately the producers went with that look. It looks like un-graded S-Log to me, but whom ever puts the money decides.
