Hey guys!

I recently completed a feature and wanted to share it with you all.

Here's the trailer:

About
Fearing an unseen threat in their woods, and facing ridicule by the local media, the small town of Farr appoints a makeshift “Monster Defense Team” to investigate and remedy the bizarre situation.

This sci-fi mockumentary film follows the efforts of the team’s individual members, while allowing the quirky town residents to share their theories on what’s lurking in the woods, and what they think should be done about it.

It definitely has an understated feel. There are a couple of bits with action but it focuses more on the people and their interesting personalities. (I'm a big fan of the Errol Morris documentary, "Vernon, Florida".)

These are all folks from around where I live. Only two have done any sort of acting, so the improvisational nature of the dialog helped in achieving a more convincing performance.

Most of the film was shot on a Canon 7D and t2i. There are also sequences shot on Super8 film and VHS. Sound was captured on a modified Marantz PMD-660 w/ Rode NTG-3. Editing was done in Grass Valley's Edius 6.
