I find myself having to transfer some old hi8 tapes I shot yrs ago into cs5.5 (windows 7) via my intensity pro card. These hi8 tapes had PCM audio (originally shot on a Sony evw 300 camera) which was perfect sounding.
I'm using a EVO-9720 dual player/recorder to transfer the tapes. I keep getting audio distortion.
Tried even hooking to a mixer - still distorted audio. Could I be getting distorted audio due to not sending any type of sync signal into the player?
I've tried all the different switches/buttons on the 9720 for audio settings. Strange part is when I originally edited the tapes years ago, I used a 9720 with no problem. I tried both the player and recorder site to transfer with the same audio distortion.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
