Directed/shot the horror film VAMPIRELAND with the GYU 100. It was crap in the dark - very hard to replicate situations even with exactly the same lighting, but the image is true 720p (unlike it's main competitor at the time, the Panny HVX200).
Surprised by how sharp some shots look, even bumped down to SD. Managed some shallow DoF, but obviously not like the newer S35 cameras. Too bad JVC seems totally uninterested in a S35 chipset in that form factor...
And it truly is one of the prettiest video cameras ever made. Makes some of the newer camera truly look like bricks. But I digress. I you'd like to check it out, it's live streaming on Amazon for $1.99, or if you're broke, check out the trailer. Thanks!
