My real dream camera would be the FS700, but that's way beyond my meager budget. So, based upon reading comparisons between the FS100 and AF100, I came up with the perfect replacement for the FS100:
Put the innards of the FS100 - the sensor, processors, etc. - into the FS700 body.
You get:
ND filters.
HD/SDI out.
Better side handle, with a power zoom lens down the road.
Stronger top handle.
Now you have the FS200.
It wouldn't have the 4K sensor and over-cranking slo-mo of the 700, but I can live without that. The big plus is, it should be a lot cheaper than the 700. I see it as a natural progression of the FS100.
I'm happy with the 100, but I do wish it had ND filters and an HD/SDI out (like the AF100).
Thoughts?
