Does anyone have experience in using this for the VG20 along with their EF lenses?

Canon EOS EF Mount Lens to Sony NEX-5 NEX-7 NEX3 NEX-5N NEX-VG10 NEX-10 Adapter | eBay (http://www.ebay.de/itm/120902702068?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_5125wt_1102)

I bought it, but it will not fit my VG20 and now the adapter is stuck on my beloved 17-55 2.8 ef-s lens, and I cannot get it off!

I have that one (or something very similar). Leave it out in the sun so the metal expands a bit - it should come off.

Those $20 adapters aren't exactly German precise, that's for sure.

Of course, these are dumb adapters, with no electronic link.

I bought one for my Pentax K lenses that would not mount properly as shipped to my VG20. I took a file to the flanges and made it fit. Not sure why your EF lens would come off.

Which is why I use either Canon FD glass or Rokinon - both have manual control over the F-stop!

I do covet some L series glass though... I suppose when I have the bread for that, I won't mind buying the "smart" adapter.
