Hello,
I have a Fostex FR-2LE field recorder which has always worked well, but lately it has been producing a lot of noise and the recording level stays very low. It is the actual recording that is affected, not just the monitor audio.
I have tried both mono and stereo, in both input channels, and with different mics and cables. The weird thing is that with a dynamic SM58 mic it works well, but not with my battery-powered condenser mics (one shotgun and one lav).
I have turned of any ALC and highpass settings, all settings are normal.
I have updated to the latest software, but it doesn't help.
Anybody has a clue?
