I'm looking at some used EX3s - some have 300 hours. Some have 700 hours. And I was wondering:

How many hours are considered high?
Expected hour life for a camera?

Thanks for any help with the info.

With solid state - the only downside to use is wear in the mechanical components - so lens, knobs and card contacts - and of course looking for dead pixels - none of these can be deduced from hours count alone - so it's impossible to determine 'average' condition any more. A well cared for 700 could be better value than 300 of stressful stuff. I suppose it means the need for inspecting everything is the game now - where before, many of us snapped up low hours stuff simply because it was low hours. Now we could even miss bargains!

Jeff,

I am not sure of the protocol on the boards but I have just decided to sell my EX3 in the last few days and saw your post. It is a package with batts, SxS cards, Baseplate reinforcement/Shoulder mount, etc.

It is in pristine condition. I am over in Wichita.
