Has anyone shot with this camera using a SanDisk Extreme 64 GB class 10 card? How did it perform for you? Thanks!

Evan Jeff Harper May 25th, 2012, 11:03 AM The card is above specs needed for the camera, it will work very well. Can't go wrong with SanDisk Extreme, I use them in all my cameras including the XA10. Not sure if your camera accepts 64GB cards, but as long as it does, you'll be fine. Evan Graham May 26th, 2012, 08:35 AM Thanks Jeff. I've emailed Canon with this inquiry. I'll post up the results, as it seems to me there may be many others with this question. Evan Don Palomaki May 26th, 2012, 10:52 AM The HF S10/100 is documented as accepting SD and SDHC cards. SDHC is limited to 32 GB max. The 64 GB cards would likely be SDXC, and the S100 manual does NOT document support for SDXC (over 32 GB) cards. Not clear what would happen if you tried to use a SDXC card in it. Jeff Harper May 26th, 2012, 11:09 AM Ebvan your manual will certainly list the card capacities that are accepted by the camera. I checked the manual for compatible cards, and it will only support SDHC cards, and that appears to be limited to 32 GB. Thanks for the input. Evan |
