Since a lot of 5D shooters use manual nikon lenses, I figured this DIY declicking of a 50mm lens could be of some help.
I also included how to add drag and viscous feel for the aperture ring after de clicking without using messy grease.

I just completed the procedure on my 50mm by following the steps on your website. It works very well, and the clove-and-cinnamon-oil-based livestock fly repellant that I spilled into my tool-bag last year, soaking my roll of teflon tape, now gives me and my lens kit a third dimension of mystery that is sure to set me apart in the competitive DSLR-DP market. That's awesome. I've thought about doing this to my Rokkors, just a little hesitant about pulling lenses apart. I need to find a junk lens off KEH to tinker with...
