Hi,

I need to transmit video wirelessly from a camera to a bank fo LCD screens. The screens take hdmi or component. Camera will most likely be hdmi out. Would love to use a DSLR if possible. HMC150 might be doable too.

Thanks for any assistance.

Cheers,
Scott

I just did a quick web search for wireless hdmi and found plenty of choices.

Have you looked through what is available?

Hmm.. I found one option and it's $2500. The transmitter needs to be mobile and cover a couple hundred feet at least.

For that distance that is about the right price point.

If you can live with 100' or less the price drops into the $250 range.

Can one find a product with a single receiver with up to 6 transmitters, i.e from six cameras to a single receiver that can be connected to a datavideo mixer?

6 transmitters = 6 receivers. You can do it the other way around. Finding 6 clear channels is also not that simple, and budget kit rarely allows multiple channels at the same time. I've also found that cheap and reliable rarely come in the same sentence. Audio at a distance is bad, but video is much worse!

Is this for a once only event ?

You may be better going to an AV hire company and renting the equipment - a decent company will advise .

If for repeated use , purchase may make sense . Do you really need to transmit over that distance , or can you bring the receiver closer to the camera , still allowing freedom of movement , and run a cable from the receiver to the screens ?
