Just ordered a 5D Mk3 from B&H a few minutes ago, so they are back in stock in case anyone was waiting like I was.
This has been a public service announcement... enjoy!

I guess you have to order fast... the site shows "backordered" now.

I got lucky... I happened to be on the site and one minute it was showing backordered, and the next time the page re-loaded it was available so I dropped it in my cart on the spot.
Glad I did!

Well, I hope you enjoy yours as much as I'm enjoying mine!

Me too!
I am moving up from a 60D, which is a great camera, but the low light performance and the full frame sensor are just a couple of things the 60D just can't compare to.
I'm very psyched!

So here's a question. I ordered mine from Canon direct. Howcome they charge sales tax and no on else does. This makes the effective price up to 7% more depending on your state... Does anybody know?

Good question... as I understand it, retail businesses that have a presence in your home state will have to charge you sales tax, but if they don't, they won't. Canon wouldn't seem to fall into that category though I wouldn't think...
Another reason I stick with B&H... plus I like having all my receipts for major purchases in one place when tax time rolls around.

I would love to have stuck with B & H but I found it at Canon first :) By the time B & H got theirs in stock, mine was already shipped.

I probably would have done the same thing... I just didn't think of going direct to Canon..
