Hi.
I'm almost convinced myself to buy a Canon 600D, I want to wait for the 650D. But I can see it taking a while with no announcments as of yet, and even when it does get announced it proably wont be out for a month or two after that.
I've basically got around £900 to spend on body and lenses. I can probably squeeze out of that the 600D with kit lense, Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 and the 50mm 1.8. I'll be using it to film extreme sports such as power kiting and mountain biking, so will all be outdoor meaning light isnt really a problem.
My only concern is the kit lens, will this be OK as a general use lense for filming? I'd use the Tokina mainly for the action shots as the kiters jump over me and the 50mm for DOF shots.
I would look into replacing the kit lens with a 28/35mm prime but image stabalisation is pretty important for me being handheld most of the time!
