I have a training video which I bought a while back as a package deal from Sony with a Vegas upgrade. It is part of their Seminar Series, but the playback quality of the computer screen in the video is appalling as it is so blurry and virtually un-readable. The tutorial is OK but I cannot believe that Sony would put their name to such poor quality. I am using an i7 machine so I don't think that is the problem, but maybe I have a wrong setting somewhere for this but Vegas works fine.
Has anyone else experienced this ?

Ron, you're not alone.
I got a similar package and was appalled at the horrible quality of the video :(

Thanks Mike, - Sorry with the late reply.
I guess this is a case of "Caveat Emptor" bit of a shame when you feel that Sony should be trusted.
We know next time !

I have the training videos for the Seminar Series for Pro 9 and Pro 10. The quality is fine played on my main screens which are 1920x1200. Nothing like you describe.
They are the downloaded .wmv files though. Are you talking about physical DVDs?

Thanks Pete. - Yes, these are the actual DVD's as supplied by Sony with the Vegas up-grade.
Can you send the link if you have it please, & I will see if I may be able to download them directly.

Ron, they sent me a one-off download link for the videos as thats the delivery method I selected for this free content when I purchased the upgrades for 9 and 10.
These can be purchased separately but obviously it would make sense to contact them first with your query / request.
There is nothing particularly groundbreaking in the videos and if you are an old hand you've probably figured it all out anyway. The other videos and the regular training updates may be valuable:
