I've had the MR-HD100 since August 2010. I've only used it maybe a dozen times and I haven't used it in a few months, til the other day. I took it out, powered it up, and formatted the drive at FAT. When it finished the process, a message showed on the display that said "Unknown Disk Format, format disk? yes or menu." I have reformatted several times and turned the unit off and back on several times. It always comes back up to that message.

Has anybody else had this problem?

I originally paid $1500 for it and the company wants $400 to fix it.

Nice the company still exists? A "customer advocate" at Focus Enhancements once said I "wore through customer support" to get help with firmware. Vitec Group bought the company.
