i installed the software out of the box by canon, look what it shows instead.

If you had a Mac you wouldn't see this problem as Apple released an update for the RAW converter so Preview, Aperture, iPhoto & other applications can all handle 5D3 RAW files now.

On Windows you can download a beta version of Lightroom to do the job for you Download Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.1 Release Candidate - Adobe Labs (http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/lightroom4-1.html)

Why doesn't the app provided by Canon don't recognize the Raw files?

and don't recognize my camera!?

I'm going to update the firmware/software from canon's site, maybe it will help the pc detect my camera. Anyway thank you I got the new Lightroom ;) the raw files are working.
