Quick question.. I got a request to tape some airbag deployments.. Now they have requested a camera that does 1000 fps.. Could you use a 150 or 170 in this type of shoot? then have the ability to slow it down in editing?

Sorry, no way... that will require some specialized equipment. Your PD-170 is only gonna capture 30 frames per second! (actually it will capture 60 half-frames per second, but that's a far cry from 1000 :-)

I don't know what I was thinking.. For some reason I was thinking they needed the shutter speed.. Thanks for the info I appreciate it..

Figure on a couple of grand a day plus the cost of the engineer to run it. At least that's what I found in the San Francisco Bay Area.
