I told the wife I was taking her to Gorman Falls for the day, so she got all dressed up for a day in the city, shopping with her nice clothes, dangly ear rings, makeup, perfume, etc. I thought she knew Gorman Falls was a waterfall hidden in the Texas hill country, and not a city in Texas like Witicha Falls or Marble Falls. Any way, we drove a 100 miles and arrived at the parking area reserved for hiking the 1.5 miles path to Gorman Falls.

I carried a pro-tripod and the EX3 with an Anton Bauer Dionic battery to vidoe away the afternoon at the falls. The wife kept looking for the roof tops of the city to show up but finally figured out it was not what she expected. I believe it was worth the effort but my wife was disappointed that there were no shopping or sidewalk cafes.

some good looking shots Billy, but almost all of them are very over exposed

I agree, most of the shots are overexposed. Strange thing is that a friend of mine, who has made a comparable nature video with the EX3, also came back with 80% overexposed footage. He works in manual mode, and he thought everything looked fine in the viewer. Did you use manual or auto mode?
