Hi Guys

As most 130/160 owners have already discovered the default scene file on these cameras have everything set to zero and the image has no wow factor and very low Chroma.

I shoot documentary style at weddings so I have my F1 file set not too Cinematic but it produces rich colours and really nice constrast. For those interested the settings are at present :

Detail Level +2
Vertical Detail +2
Detail Coring +2
Chroma +3
Master Pedestal -1
Iris -2 for normal lighting but 0 for Beach weddings
Gamma BPRESS
Matrix CINELIKE

Everything else is left at default ..I'm in two minds whether to turn on Skin Detail or leave it off as most brides have near perfect makeup with no flaws!!!

Has anyone got any suggestions for shooting at the reception at night??? So far the current one seems to work well but I'm open to any improvements of course!!

Chris

Chris I see you didn't get a response on this....strange.

I would be interested to know what scene file you use for dimly lit wedding ceremonies in churches where you are not allowed to use additional lighting.

Hi Tom

This has changed..if I was using auto-iris I found I had to open the iris all the time so I changed the iris setting back to zero!! The last 3 weddings I just used the same settings indoors and out!! Scene file settings are either a closely guarded secret with some people or those that share seem to have vastly different settings to others.

Take a read of the HMC150 handbook at : http://www.filmrocks.com/pdf/AG_HMC150SceneFileHandbook.pdf

That is a really detailed document telling you what each setting does and gives you a better idea as to what settings to use.
