I bought a cheap Liliput lcd monitor with a 1024x600 rez for focusing on my HPX171. And I must say it's a great cheap monitor for focusing.
When I tried to calibrate the monitor I noticed that the highlights get clipped at around 92-95 IRE - the HPXs monitor shows more DR than the liliput connected via component. So I'm wondering is this a limitation of the monitor or the component out of the HPX? Is the component output full range or is it clipped 16 - 235?
Maybe the monitor isn't properly converting the analogue signal? I wouldn't be surprised...
