Got one of these cards and when I started downloading drivers, I saw mention of CS5.5 being supported, but no mention of CS5. While installing, I got errors because of an "unsupported version" of Adobe was involved.
The card works, I can get output from it, but Premiere isn't seeing it and I cannot output video from a Sequence with it.
I hadn't seen any warnings about those cards being able to be used with 5.5 only before I purchased it. Am I doing something wrong or am I screwed?

Hi Benjamin,
My understanding of Matrox Mojito MAX is that it's simply an MXO2 made internal. As the Mojito just recently came out, there were no older drivers for CS5, but it shares the same CS5.5 drivers with MXO2 so it stands to reason that all you need to do is download the 5.1.1.44 MXO2 LE driver for CS5 and that should work with Mojito. Uninstall current Matrox driver and update Premiere to 5.03 before installing 5.1.1.44.
Be sure to also download all documentation to go with drivers, and check Release Notes for important info about changing the name of the SurCodeWrapper files in Adobe folders.
EDIT - I've contacted Matrox Tech Support and am waiting for a definite answer and will let you know if this is supported
Thanks

That did it. Thanks. (I was already on CS5 v. 5.0.3)
Wish Matrox was a bit easier to deal with. On their website, by following links to the Mojito, there is no way to get the drivers for 5.11. I had to go to the MXO2LE card and then download from there. I called Matrox to get support from their techs and the person that answered the phone (after a long time on hold) had no clue as to what I was talking about. They said a senior tech would call me back. (thought to myself "Great support- I'll get a senior tech.") 2 hours later and still no call back from them.
Anyways, the card appears to be up and running now. Now I just need to figure out why my firewire and eSATA cards are acting cranky and I'll be ready to get back to work.

Well, I spoke a bit too soon... It almost works perfectly.
I can make it work for playback of a sequence. I can also open the media encoder to encode my video using the Max H.264 encoding. (and I'm amazed at how fast it goes!) But, trying to export media from the sequence is causing the program to crash, which is obviously a major problem (especially if I want to export in something other than H.264).

Hi Ben,
I did get verification from Matrox that older MXO2 drivers will indeed work for Mojito users running CS5.
Thanks

well, nothing but problems trying to make the Mojito work with CS5. Got it to play back, but the crashes while trying to export media were a huge issue. Obviously something was corrupted with my Premiere install.
Anyways, as I didn't have anymore time to mess with this, I got the CS5.5 upgrade. Everything installed smoothly and is working seemingly perfectly.
