I backed up using Media Manager, pretty straightforward - but a week later when I open it up I have no timeline. I tried Control U but no change, very fortunate that I have yet to delete the original from my laptop.

Have I missed something?

P.S. The fruit of my labours, for which many of you have helped me complete, is alas about 100MB over the Vimeo limit so I will have to upgrade - I think. The reason I wanted to open the backup is to see if it would be a smaller file size when compressed to 1280 x 720 without losing the HD.

You haven't opened the sequence yet. Double click on the sequence and the timeline will come up.
