Just rec'd via email from CUSA...

The download service of the XF Utility for EOS C300/C300PL/XF305/300/105/100 is now available from each product page on the Canon U.S.A., Inc. (http://www.usa.canon.com) website at Drivers&Software for free without any registration. This will make it easy on the production houses to download the plug-ins when using the following camera data.

Thanks Chris.

Will version 3.0 of the XF Utility work with all six cameras, or do you need to download a version for each model?

Should be one size fits all.

I can tell you from first hand experience that CUSA has been asked over and over again to make this available... it should have happened a long time ago.

Good move Canon! Making it easy for common people to screen C300 footage anywhere and anytime is a necessity, not a privilege... Here are a couple suggestions that would make the XF Utility even better:

- Export to MP3 audio option so producers can send interview clips audio for transcription quickly
- Sub-clipping function with MXF export, would be convenient to export one sound bite from a long interview clip.

Cheers,

Has it come to this! Making it easy for "common people". I thought the 5D had that covered.
