Hi all, I know someone selling a Lectrosonics UCR100 receiver and UM100 beltpack wireless kit. I looked on the Lectro website and saw that the UM100 transmitter is listed as discontinued and was replaced by the LMa transmitter.

Currently I have a Sony UWP-V1 system and would like to add a second/better quality system. I have used rental 100 systems numerous times though I'm not sure if it was the newer or older transmitter. Can I expect the fantastic Lectro sound quality I'm accustomed to with the "older" UM100 technology or is the newer LMa the way to go?

Thanks!

The Lectro 100 series is analog, and non diversity. Nothing like the 400 or SR series digitals.
The Lectro 100 is better than a G2 IMO, better than a G3? .. sound quality is about the same, the G3 likily has a little better reception due to it's diversity recevr. The Lectro is more rugged though.

Thinking of getting it as more of a stopgap, so I do see your point. Would the UM100 Tx be sufficient compared to the LMa?
