Hello all
I am considering getting a new workstation for Vegas 11 so I can edit my stereoscopic 3D projects with Cineform.
Can anyone recommend me a system configuration and graphics card?
Does anyone know if the latest Vegas 11 builds have fixed the bug which didn't let you preview stereoscopic 3D on an external display with the nVidia 3D Vision system?!
thanks
/ben

Go to tenth post down from the top. Gerald configured a very nice system. Don't know if it's what you need, but it looks very good for general editing, don't know about 3D stuff.

Hey Guys,
Finally pushed the button on this last night, we have had none of the CPU's in Oz till a cpl of days ago.
Still have to find quad channel 1600 ddr3 ram in 8gb sticks, there is none of that out there at the moment either. Might have to settle for 32 gb in 4gb sticks (takes away the option to go 64gb in the future though).
NB. One gotcha to be aware of. The first batch of 3930K chips had C1 stepping, which apparently is an issue if you run virtual machines. It was considered a fault and all the new ones have C2 stepping. Be careful if you find a cheap one.

I'll report back with some tests when its built.
