Hi guys...new here.

Shot some wrestling footage with my AX-2000 yesterday. Used my zebras to set the iris and on the little LCD screen all looked good. When I came home and uploaded to the computer, I see that the footage is very grainy as if I had been shooting in low light. The lighting in the gym was certainly sufficient and I haven't had problems in the past.

Admittedly I'm a newbie that uses auto settings a lot but I'm trying to go manual to get more control of my videos.

Any ideas on what settings I might try in the future to remedy the situation?

Thanks!

Sounds like you may have left the gain on auto and it's been happy to ride all over you. In the v'finder make sure you lock down the w/bal, the shutter speed and the gain, and work from there. Let the camera decide on the aperture needed (in auto) and then lock that down. They won't be changing the lighting during a bout, will they? No, and nor should you.
