Very nicely shot C300 short by Japanese shooter Raitank.

At present 3 sample MXF files from the short are available - personally this was a great help for me in determining whether (image wise) I should invest in this camera.

The MXFs give a real world indication of low ISO noise performance and degree of moire/aliasing (which, while relatively well suppressed, are both clearly apparent at times).

I downloaded and graded the mxf's from parallel yesterday. I also did a comparison with some similar footage of my own from the 5dmark2. I found the mxf's to be very malleable, applying pretty extreme grades did bring up some noise, but certainly acceptable. Most of the noise was in the two interiors, which were both underexposed/under-lit in my book. (in Paul Steinberg's test video he noted that it was better to shoot at higher iso than to try to lighten in post, and I think that's born out on these clips as well). I think level of detail, combined with the lack of moire on the actors kimono on the exterior walking shot are what's exceptional. Canon has walked a fine line in providing a crisp, largely alias free image, which is why the camera performed so well on the big screen back at the nov launch.

I really liked that and the more that I see shot on this, I want one. I have used the 5D on all styles and have never really liked it from the outset but have kept shooting with it. I do a lot of TVC's and long form info adds with the 5D along with my Sony PMW500 for green screen etc... This is my day gig.

I think the C300 will be a great asset to my style and looking forward to shooting with it.
