Every year, the Elgin County Kennel Club puts on a dog show at the Western Fair fairgrounds in London, Ontario, Canada. Here's a video comprising some short snippets of the show. It was shot handheld using a Canon XA10 camcorder in 30p mode with colour correction to give the image quality a bit more punch. The powered IS on the camera is quite impressive, as I discovered while capturing the action - some of the shots are so stable they look almost like they were done using a tripod. A real bonus for my shaky hands!
The only downside was the lighting was entirely fluorescent, and that sucked a bit. No idea if the lighting was daylight-balanced or not, but the auto white balance on the camera seems to have coped with it fairly well.
