I have a cabling question and I am not sure if this is the correct place. I need to run a live feed 200'. It is a fairly difficult run going through the entire building so I only want to do it once. Next year, we will be upgrading cameras so it will be an HD-SDI feed, but for now, we are using the trusty ole DVX.
Here is my plan. Let me know if it will not work:
I plan on running the HD-SDI coax so when we get the new cams, we are ready to go. However, what I want to do now is run the coax and put a standard cable tv connection on it.
I will run from the cam (RCA) to an RF modulator. Then just put standard coax connections on the ends and run it that way. When our new cams come in, I can just snip the ends and connect BNC. Will this work?
Thanks in advance,
Derek
