I noticed there is a battery door for the C300 which comes with one Canon BP-955 battery. Does the larger capacity BP-975 battery fits with the door closed?

Barry Goyette January 19th, 2012, 10:40 PM It looks like the door can be removed for larger capacity batteries according to a video posted by Lan Buii and Drew Gardner last weekend. Thierry Humeau January 20th, 2012, 05:40 AM Anyone knows the average running time with BP-955? Not sure I'd use anything larger on the C300. It seems to be pretty power savy. Graham King January 20th, 2012, 06:03 AM I think it's around 3 hours. Just get 2 extra batteries and you're good. Barry Goyette January 20th, 2012, 12:36 PM According to Canon, you get about 190 minutes out of a 955, with both the LCD and EVF running. The 975 will give you about 280 minutes. BTW, Canon has an excellent (and candid) FAQ page that answers almost any question you can think of about the camera.... here: Canon DLC: Cinema EOS Frequently Asked Questions (http://learn.usa.canon.com/resources/misc/cinemaEOS_faq.shtml) Barry Robert Sanders January 25th, 2012, 03:46 PM I'm falling more and more in love with this camera the more research I do and I haven't even seen the camera in person or shot anything with it. Considering I already own several 955 and 975 batteries, this is awesome. Graham King January 25th, 2012, 04:09 PM Yea same here. I am #2 in the pre order line at Texas Media Systems. I just need to get this $10k loan approved... Jim Martin January 25th, 2012, 08:08 PM I'm falling more and more in love with this camera the more research I do and I haven't even seen the camera in person or shot anything with it. Robert- Yes, the buzz is getting louder here in town......we might have a camera here on Monday or Tuesday....you should stop by. Jim Martin Filmtools.com Jon Nelson January 31st, 2012, 09:08 PM Robert I have my first C300 in hand. Perhaps we should arrange a meet-up... Thierry Humeau January 31st, 2012, 10:02 PM Btw, is the wireless adapter included with the C300 or is that optional? A WFT attachment is listed in the included accessories but I am not sure what this is. Congrats to all new C300 owners! Thierry. Jon Nelson January 31st, 2012, 11:28 PM There is a WFT port/plug on the camera The WFT device is not included (at least with serial # 027!) The forthcoming WFT-E6B wireless file transmitter will be a future option (I think it's the same unit the will be used on the forthcoming EOS 1D X camera) Mathias Haecki February 2nd, 2012, 07:55 AM Btw, is the wireless adapter included with the C300 or is that optional? Thierry. Nope, the WLAN-Modul WFT-E6B is not included with the cam. There's also no official delivery date yet. Acordingly to some Canon CPS people they heard there are some kind of problems with the integrated "webserver" holding it back a bit. But they also said it might be ready for the 1 DX launch. They also could not tell me a retail price yet. |
