Good to hear that. Also, there are a number of freeware GUIs that make it a lot easier to use ffmbc. Just Google "ffmpeg GUI" and take your pick. Most ffmpeg GUIs will also work with ffmbc.

I owe a donation to Baptiste of FFMBC. Felix Steinhardt April 17th, 2012, 05:29 PM I have a question regarding DNxHD. I´m confused by the matter that only 220 mbit DNxHD is used to encode the videostream. When rendering a DNxHD File, the 220 mbit option is only available for the 1080i/59.94i format. Just to be sure. Does that mean, everything coming from the SDI out of the camera, 1080p25, 1080p23.98, 1080i50 etc. etc. is stored to the 1080i/59.94i format or does it mean for example that 1080p23.98 which would normally render in 175 mbit is instead stored as 220 mbit and still in its original format? OK, to simplify my question: Does the shuttle record DNxHD in the same framerate that is coming through the HD-SDI? Paul Kapp April 17th, 2012, 05:42 PM @Felix Yes it does record in the same framerate as the SDI from your camera. The 220mbs is nominal and would apply to 1080i60fps. 1080i50fps would be 185mbs and so on. Karin Davidson May 21st, 2012, 01:43 PM Rewrapping the mxf to mov... This works but the audio is combined into stereo and not separate files. Does anyone know the command to keep the audio files on 2 separate channels? This is the stereo command: ffmbc -y -i Capture0001V.mxf -i Capture0001A1.mxf -i Capture0002A1.mxf -vcodec copy -map_audio_channel 1:0:0:0:1 -map_audio_channel 2:0:0:0:1 -acodec pcm_s16le -ac 2 -f mov Capture0001.mov |
