These cards are still ridiculously overpriced. My estimate is that they will come down to approximately € 200 in maximum 2 years.

How long will it be before we see the new XQD card and adaptors, assuming they will work with the EX camera.

Initially I was put off the EX system due to the high cost of SXS memory, but since the SDHC compatible adaptors became tried and tested I haven't looked back. Since owning the camera in 2008 I have only used my 8gb SXS card three times and I have shot on location in Africa, Italy, France, Austria, Belgiu,..... as well as Wapping. No problem.

Vincent, saying something like that will bring the "SxS Police" down on you!
I agree and have never had trouble with HDSC cards.

I love your stuff btw, those great images of the giraffes with their heads in the window is still stuck in my head...

Did someone call the "SxS Police"? Here I am.

Seriously, the firmware in the cameras and the quality of the SD cards has now reached the point where it's not anywhere near as risky to shoot on SD cards than it was a couple of years ago. I still feel it is an added risk to shoot important footage on them, but maybe that risk is worth taking as long as you make an educated decision. I've been shooting a lot on SD cards this past year on my F3 just to see if I could ever get one to fail, and I have had no problems.
