Maybe but more likely it is a slow time of the year in a not great economy. With a firmware update coming very soon seems like a good deal. But hey I just bought mine in Canada yesterday.

I somehow doubt they are trying to clear out stock to make way for a new FS100 killer. The current FS100 has only been available six months.
