the successes of this site were bound to catch up with it sooner or later, lol... some jerk has copied the page content off of dvinfo.net, and placed it on his website... i believe that this practice is known as "scraping", and i've been waiting for it to happen to my sites.

search engines use keywords to index content, so that they have relevant links to return to people who are doing searches... search engine optimization demands that you structure your site with relevant keywords, so that it'll be easily and correctly found by the search engines... but the pond scum of the internet just copy text where ever they can, instead of creating original content... check the bottom of the linked page to see the dvinfo.net content, the entire page is a classic example of "keyword stuffing".

our scraper site appears to be a russian domain that is hosted in russia, per the info i listed below... probably not much that we can do there, but the url could be reported to google, yahoo, msn, etc., so that it can be banned from their search results.

i'm glad to hear that he pulled his scraper content off so fast... google is cracking down on scrapers big time, he's probably afraid that he'll lose the income off of his sites by being banned from the search engines.
