When using the the CRC (cyclic redundancy check) error check option, should I get some kind of an "everything copied okay" message? or does it only alert me if there's something wrong?

I always copy with CRC "on" - but there's never any indication that it's actually doing anything.

No, you're right: there's no special notification. You just have to assume that everything went right...

For such an important check - after all, this is the back- up of all our RAW footage - there should have been a confirmation, indeed. Let's hope Sony will add that in the next update.
